The police have added costs of rape and sexual assault to their FIR towards unnamed suspects after four siblings were found murdered in their home in Jalgaon on Friday.
“Now we have added Part 376 of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Safety of Youngsters from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act to the FIR after investigation and inquiries revealed sexual assault,” stated Pravin Mundhe, Superintendent of Police, Jalgaon.
A Particular Investigation Staff probing the crime had detained three individuals, together with a minor, on Friday.
Mundhe stated that no arrests had been made. “We’re nonetheless awaiting numerous reviews,” he stated.
The deceased — two women aged 12 and three years and two boys aged 11 and eight years — had been killed with an axe by unknown individuals on Thursday night time in Raver taluka, hours after their mother and father and older brother had left for his or her native village in Madhya Pradesh to attend the funeral of a member of the family.
The household, who belongs to the Bhil tribe, had moved to the village from Madhya Pradesh eight years in the past and had been staying on and cultivating their landlord’s banana farm.
