SRINAGAR, India (AP) — Assailants have shot and killed three politicians from India’s ruling get together in Kashmir. Police are blaming militants combating towards Indian rule within the disputed area for the killings late Thursday. Police say militants fired on the three members of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Occasion. Authorities forces have launched a seek for the attackers, and no insurgent group has claimed duty. The get together is asking the killings a “barbaric terror assault.” Kashmir is split between India and Pakistan, and each declare the Muslim-majority area in its entirety. Rebels have been combating towards Indian rule since 1989. The assault comes two days after India enacted legal guidelines permitting any of its residents to purchase land in Kashmir.
