
Geetu Mohandas-helmed ‘Moothon’ to shut Indian Movie Pageant of Melbourne
The Geetu Mohandas-helmed atmospheric crime drama, Moothon, will conclude the Indian Movie Pageant of Melbourne (IFFM) 2020. Owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the eleventh version of the competition is beimng hosted just about this 12 months.
That includes a bilingual narrative in Hindi and the Jeseri dialect of Malayalam, the movie stars Nivin Pauly, Shashank Arora, Sobhita Dhulipala, Melissa Raju Thomas, Sanjana Dipu and Roshan Mathew, with Hindi dialogues by Anurag Kashyap. The movie premiered on the 2019 Toronto Worldwide Movie Pageant and has been doing the rounds of the competition circuit since then.
Speaking about “Moothon” being the closing movie at IFFM this 12 months, Pageant director, Mitu Bhowmick Lange shared: “Craving to your family members and feeling the pangs of separation has been a lingering temper this 12 months. There is no higher time to look at Moothon. We’re elated to have the film be the finale movie on the Pageant due to its distinct voice. The narrative itself encapsulates the vibe of variety which is so valuable to us.”
The movie has been shot in actual areas and amongst actual individuals, in picturesque Lakshwadeep islands and Mumbai’s red-light space Kamathipura.
