A brand new novel by an SPG officer concerned within the prime minister’s safety from 2000-07 appears to be like on the lives, customs, rituals and battle of transgenders.
Rasaathi: The Different Facet of a Transgender is Sasindran Kallinkeel’s debut novel.
He was with the Central Reserve Police for 23 years and had a seven-year stint with the Particular Safety Group (Prime Minister’s Safety) as a senior safety officer when Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh have been in workplace.
The primary character within the novel, revealed by BookMitra, is a transgender named Rasaathi born in a well-to-do household in South India. Rasaathi, that means princess, is within the late 40s who needs individuals to deal with transgenders like human beings by showering love, affection, sympathy and recognise their pathetic and horrible life.
Kallinkeel says Rs 100 from each e book offered will go to transgenders’ welfare. Based on him, the group has been going through the ignominy of being humiliated, ill-treated, remoted, teased and deserted. “We have now all the time turned our again every time they method us for something and even don’t give them an opportunity to work for a good dwelling. We neglect them and deny them the essential facilities,” he says.
“They’re wise like us – they chortle, cry and fall in love. They’re similar to us, in additional methods than we all know. ‘Rasaathi’ is the story of each transgender,” he provides.
