Lawmakers of Turkey’s governing Justice and Growth Occasion (AKP) are gossiping about huge wealth gathered by Berat Albayrak, the son-in-law of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, columnist Orhan Uğuroğlu said on Thursday.
Parliament is rife with whispering that Albayrak managed to build up some $1.8 billion and that the money is deposited in a financial institution in Singapore or in Malaysia, mentioned Uğuroğlu, who writes for Yeniçağ newspaper.
The story goes that Albayrak earned the money after he went into enterprise with Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, and Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ, the son-in-law of former Turkish media mogul Aydın Doğan, in line with Uğuroğlu. Their enterprise actions are allegedly in commerce and petroleum, he mentioned.
Albayrak stepped down as Turkey’s treasury and finance minister on Sunday. He took the job in July 2018 after serving as vitality minister for two.5 years. He’s married to Erdoğan’s daughter Esra.
It’s also rumoured that Albayrak was speaking about working as a candidate for president saying laws doesn’t enable Erdoğan to serve a 3rd time period in workplace from 2023, Uğuroğlu mentioned.
