The proprietor of a quick meals joint in Paldi of Ahmedabad was arrested on Sunday for opening his store throughout curfew hours, police mentioned.
In line with police, the accused Pratik Patel, a resident of Patel Vas in Paldi village of Ahmedabad and proprietor of The Pizza Stall eatery in Paldi, was held underneath Indian Penal Code part 188 for disobedience to order given by public servant and part of the Catastrophe Administration Act.
Motion was taken after a tv information channel aired a footage of his store being open throughout curfew hours in Ahmedabad from 9 pm to six am.
“The accused was booked after he informed us that the TV information story about his eatery open throughout curfew hours is true. We arrested him immediately and since its a bailable part so he was given bail immediately night itself,” mentioned AJ Pandav, in-charge officer, Paldi police station.
On Sunday, 306 new Covid-19 instances have been reported in Ahmedabad metropolis.
