Partho Dasgupta, the accused, is the fifteenth individual to be arrested within the case associated to alleged rigging of Tv Score Factors (TRP) by some TV channels.
He was arrested by Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) from the jurisdiction of Rajgad Police Station in Pune district and might be produced earlier than a courtroom right here on Friday, the official mentioned.
Earlier, the CIU had arrested former chief working officer (COO) of BARC Ramil Ramgarhia within the case, amongst others.
Mumbai police started the probe after the BARC, a score company, filed a criticism about rigging of TRP by some channels.
TRP, measured by recording viewership information at pattern households, is essential because it helps TV channels entice advertisers.
It was alleged that a few of these households had been being bribed to tune into sure channels to ramp up their TRP.
